If you watched the PlayStation 5 event last week then you were given all kinds of video game trailer reveals. We’ve seen some big heavy hitters that are sure to grow a following to some cryptic mysterious teasers that have us scratching our heads wondering just where the game will take us when it launches. Alongside the mix was short cute teasers that look to be a delightful time for a wide audience such as Bugsnax. It’s a game that left us wondering just what the title will be about but now we have a plot premise thanks to an interview between the development team Young Horses and publication, USGamer.
According to the interview, we are looking at a first-person adventure game. It seems that players take the role of a journalist who gets a message from an adventurer named Elizabert Megafig. Apparently, Elizabert has discovered a unique land filled with creatures that are half bugs and half snacks. Hoping you will join her as they discover the mystery behind these creatures and the effects they have when consumed, players arrive at the destination without a clue to where or what happened to Elizbert.
This is where your adventure begins as you take on the lead to discover the truth behind these snack monsters. For now, this game looks to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, though we’re left wondering just when we will get our hands on a copy. Much like how we are wondering just when we will get our hands on a PlayStation 5 unit.
So far, the game is on track apparently for a release this holiday season, likely along with the launch of the PlayStation 5. Until we know when the console hits the marketplace, we’re going to be left waiting for Sony to make their official release date announcement and hopefully unveil just how much the PlayStation 5 will set us back.
