Ubisoft made it clear that another Far Cry is coming, but an official announcement Far Cry 4 does not yet exist. Videogamer spotted a LinkedIn profile detailing involvement on the next Far Cry title from Ubisoft Shanghai.
Ubisoft Shanghai's studio design manage, Xavier Plagnal, claims to be involved in production of the next Far Cry. Plagnal worked on other Ubisoft titles including Splinter Cell: Blacklist and an undisclosed Ubisoft title. Rumors suggested Far Cry 4 would launch in the first quarter of 2014, but Ubisoft still remains quiet about any future reveals.
Multiple delays came from Ubisoft in 2013 as the developer and publisher pushed back the release of Watch Dogs and The Crew. Considering the studio is still developing those titles, Far Cry 4 would need to find a release spot somewhere between major releases.
Following the Watch Dogs delay, Ubisoft's stock prices plummeted after failing to meet sales forecasts.
