Microsoft held a mini inside Xbox event today that promised to showcase new exciting gameplay for the upcoming next generation of consoles, and alongside plenty of gameplay footage, we also received a ton of new game announcements; including The Ascent.
This title announcement was a standout one due to its style. The game is set in a Cyberpunk environment, which always catches the viewers eye pretty nicely. The trailer is more of a cinematic one, however, we do get a general set up for the game and how it would play.
No release date as been announced as of yet, but we do know it will be a solo or co-op RPG action title. More details about the game’s mechanics and release date should arrive in the following months.

Game Description:
The Ascent is a solo and co-op action RPG set in a cyberpunk world. The mega corporation that owns you and everyone, The Ascent Group, has just collapsed. Confusion and chaos ensue, security and order are in disarray, and without protection, everyone is left to fend for themselves. Stop gangs and hostile corporations from taking over and discover what really happened.
In related news, the Inside Xbox Event had plenty of other great reveals and surprises as well.
One of the bigger reveals to come out from the event was surely the gameplay trailer for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. There was minimal gameplay shown, but players did get to see actual in-game gameplay. If you haven’t seen the latest trailer, make sure to check it out right here!
