Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster Now Available

March 31, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

A surprise release made its way out to the PlayStation 4.

We reported just yesterday that rumors were circulating online that a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster was in the works. After all the franchise has a massive following so it wasn’t too much of a surprise when we heard Activision was looking to bring out some of the previous hits back out into the market with a fresh coat of paint. Already we have a remastered edition of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and today we’re able to add Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remastered into our collection.

In our report, it was stated that Activision had this game remastered all ready for a good while but was just waiting for the right time to release it into the market. With so many of us quarantined in our homes due to the coronavirus, now is a perfect opportunity to dive back into the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This remastered edition is currently exclusive for the PlayStation 4 which is only an exclusive title for the first thirty days. We’ll see this title make its way out onto the Xbox One and PC platform on April 30, 2020.

Likewise, gamers that are interested in playing the title on Xbox One or PC can pre-purchase the game right now. This remastered edition is just the main campaign which is said to support 4K resolution in HDR. Furthermore, those that purchase this remastered edition will find that the game will unlock the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost bundle for free.

With both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 now remastered, we’re interested in seeing if any other Call of Duty titles will get the same treatment. While we wait for the new remastered edition to release PC and Xbox One, fans can still enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone, a free-to-play battle royale title for the time being.
