Fallout 76 Wastelanders Expansion Is Coming This April

February 4, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Fallout 76 will also be released on the Steam client.

Fallout 76 was Bethesda’s push to bring the Fallout franchise online. As you likely all remember, the launch was a bit rocky. There were plenty of fans upset over the game and lack of content which prompted the development team to make updates. One of those updates that are promising some big content being added to the title is Wastelanders. Finally, we now know just when the update will go live. For fans who are hoping to get into the update and content such as quests with the factions, you’ll be able to enjoy Wastelanders starting in April.

Bethesda has announced that on April 7, 2020, fans will finally get the Wastelanders update. The expansion is going to make some big changes to Fallout 76. While the game initially didn’t have much of a story or quests for fans to take on, the outcry from players forced Bethesda to rethink their strategy with Fallout 76. With Wastelanders new survivors will be entering Appalachia and it formed two factions which are settlers and raiders. The two will be in conflict and Vault 76 dwellers will be in the middle of it all.

Each faction will provide quests and in return, you’ll either gain reputation or lose reputation with the faction. As you rise through the ranks and trust levels, new vendors and gear will be available to purchase from the particular faction vendors. As you can imagine there will be an assortment of new weapons, armor, among other items, NPCs, and enemies.

It’s also worth noting that the update is coming out on the same day as Fallout 76’s release on the Steam platform. This could bring in not only newcomers to the game but also veterans who would like to see how Fallout 76 has changed with the latest update. With that said, the video game is available right now for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
