DeviantART user AndrewRyanArt has taken the cast of BioWare's Mass Effect franchise and transposed them into the Dragon Age universe.
You can see the full sized image here. He also has a number of Dragon Age's cast in Mass Effect style. Above we see the Normandy ship re-imagined as a mechanic dragon while the biotic users in Mass Effect such as Liara and Kaidan are depicted as mages. Miranda appears in similar garb to Morrigan, the Witch of the Wilds.
The geth Legion has been transformed into a flaming golem and Commander Shepard, the hero of the Mass Effect trilogy, appears at the forefront as a Grey Warden. Some of the characters are depicted in better detail as pairs.
While it's unlikely we'll ever get anything like this kind of crossover between Dragon Age and Mass Effect BioWare has been known to place a number of Easter Eggs in their games – including a krogan head overlooking a door in Dragon Age 2 among numerous other references.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is set for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in Winter 2014 and should be a "big hit" according to EA's chief financial officer. You can watch 30 minutes of gameplay footage here. The game sees the return of multiple playable races and characters from both Origins and Dragon Age 2 will be making an appearance including Morrigan and Varric – however, Morrigan won't be a squad member.
Other minor characters like Origins' Dagna will also be returning.
The next Mass Effect does not have a confirmed release window or launch platforms but BioWare showed off some images last month. It's unlikely that Commander Shepard or any of the other characters will star in Mass Effect 4 which appears to be a sequel.
