You may already be familiar with the Netflix original series of The Witcher. It’s been a series that’s highly anticipated with reception on the casting choice and visuals being mixed. Still, it’s something that’s gotten plenty of attention and yesterday we were graced with an official Tweet from the production alerting fans that the first real trailer would be released today. That trailer can be viewed up above and it gives fans another look into The Witcher world, but more importantly, it alerts fans that the series will be coming out before 2020.
The Netflix adaptation of The Witcher series will be a bit different than the video games. Instead of adapting the popular CD Projekt Red trilogy, the production went with the novel source material. It’s something that has plenty of fans eager to see just how the story differs if they only played the video game titles. Now that a new trailer is out, we get a new look into the world, the characters and some of the action-sequences. Again, what most may find noteworthy from this trailer is the official release date which is December 20, 2019.
It looks like we won’t have to wait until 2020, though it’ll be pretty close to it as is. Still, in order to stream the service, fans of The Witcher will need a Netflix subscription in order to view the series. However, if you’re wanting a bit more the franchise in your life then earlier this month, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released on the Nintendo Switch platform.
