Bethesda is Bringing the World of Skyrim to Minecraft Xbox 360

November 1, 2013 by Yesika Reyes

Experience Skyrim in Minecraft on the Xbox 360 through an official mash-up pack.

Bethesda announced in their blog today that Minecraft players will be able to experience the world of Skyrim through an official content pack featuring Skyrim themed Menu, UI, texture set, character sets, soundtrack, and pre-made world.

Here is the breakdown of everything included in the content pack:

Skyrim Mash-up  – Conent Breakdown

  • Skyrim themed texture set to apply to any existing or newly created Minecraft world.
  • 40 Skyrim characters skins to apply to player’s in-game avatars: Dragonborn (male), Dragonborn (female), Ancano, Elenwen, Argonian Fighter, Argonian Mage, Bosmer Archer, Bosmer Mage, Breton Mage, Forsworn Shaman, Dunmer Mage, Dunmer Assassin, Imperial Soldier, Vex, Khajiit Merchant, Stormcloak Soldier, Lydia, Orc Blacksmith, Orc Warrior female, Nazir, Saadia, Vampire Lord, Isran, Astrid, Aela the Huntress, M’aiq the Liar, Greybeard, Frost Troll, Flame Atronach, Dragon Priest, Hagraven, Draugr Deathlord, Sheogorath, Spriggan, Dwarven Centurion, Wispmother, Dremora Lord, Master Necromancer, Vilkas, Orc Warrior Male
  • Skyrim themed Menu, UI and Inventory including integrated Skyrim logo.

  • Pre-made World recreating the area of Whiterun, Riverwood and Bleak falls Barrow (on a smaller scale in order to fit with technical constraints of the games map size limits)

There is no definite release date for the pack, but the blog states that it is "coming soon." It's not the first time Skyrim made its presence in Minecraft since several unofficial mods have implemented their own mash-ups in the past like the dragon mod.

Two months ago, we speculated that Minecraft would be collaborating with major developers after they released a mash-up pack for Mass Effect.

The pack will cost $3.99/£2.69/€3.79.
