Zombies Are Appearing In Red Dead Online

Undead cowboy brains. 

Red Dead Redemption was a beautiful game. It was a title delivered by Rockstar and while it may have received some flack initially for being a Grand Theft Auto clone with horses, what we actually got was an incredible narrative-driven western adventure. Likewise, the title was set in a massive open world that gave players an adventure just from roaming the in-game world, crossing guns with outlaws, thieves, lawmen, and wildlife. It wasn’t very long after its release that we got a DLC expansion known as Undead Nightmare, a title that brings in the undead for players to fight against which was a massive success.

The reason we’re bringing this up is that more players online going through Red Dead Online are noticing zombies. They are apparently wondering at the swamps and among the undead are a few more normal dead bodies being piled up. It’s leaving players wondering if this event will lead to something much grander in the weeks to come. Rockstar has yet to make a comment on the matter, but rumors and speculation suggest that an Undead Nightmare style event will be appearing on Red Dead Online.

It’s a bit easier to see this undead venture come out as a limited event through the online medium of Red Dead Redemption 2. After all, Rockstar failed to deliver any single-player content to Grand Theft Auto V likely due to the success they had with Grand Theft Auto Online. Again, this is all speculation and nothing official has made its way out. 

Currently, Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, PC players have been eagerly awaiting an announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 to come out on the platform. Additionally, the first installment never saw a release on the PC platform so it would be a warm welcome for PC gaming enthusiasts if the development studio were to bring out not only a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC release but also a port of the original title as well.
