New Planet Zoo Trailer Offers Some Early Beta Gameplay

September 18, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s what to expect when the beta drops next week.

If you enjoyed Zoo Tycoon then you might have an interest in Planet Zoo, a spiritual successor from the developers at Frontier Developments. This is a construction and management video game where players will not only run a zoo but customize it towards their liking. If you’re not familiar with the development studio, Frontier Developments was responsible for the recent release of Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution. Likewise, they had a long history with various construct and tycoon style video games.

Planet Zoo will give players access in constructing a zoo while also managing it such as hiring the appropriate staff and the various daily tasks that need to be handled to ensure those that visit have a great experience. It’s confirmed to have over fifty animals upon release each with their artificial intelligence that will behave similarly to the real wild animal.

Today, Frontier Developments has released a new trailer showing off the beta gameplay. This is a quick inside look to what some of you may get a chance at playing next week. The beta is for those that have pre-ordered the game and within it, you’ll get a good look at the career mode along with the franchise mode so you’ll have an overall full experience before its official release.

This beta will start on September 24, 2019, and will continue until October 8, 2019. However, if you’re interested in the full game release, you’ll find it available on the PC platform this November 5, 2019.
