We have a nifty little image gallery sharing comparisons of Minecraft Xbox 360 constructions with and without the plastic texture pack.
Originally introduced in Title Update 12, texture packs are a great little addition that has given the Xbox 360 version of the game that much more customizability. While the PC version of the game still provides the best experience in terms of multiplayer and moddability, the console version has proven very popular for providing a smaller, but still very enjoyable, Minecraft experience.
The plastic texture pack was added as part of Title Update 13, and has also proven to be a worthwhile addition.
The comments thread on this one does provide interesting observations. Some console owners are finding that the texture pack makes the game darker. It also seems to work better in exteriors than interiors, which look cramped from the additional detail.
