Serious Sam Collection Hitting Xbox 360 in July

June 28, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

The massive collection will be the perfect product for Serious Sam aficionados.

If you like extended death metal riffs and blowing the heads off of angry demons, The Mastertronic Group‘s Serious Sam Collection might just be the perfect product for you. Croteam and Devolver Digital will be working with the publisher to blend a slew of fast-paced, high-octane Serious Sam games into one violent package on the Xbox 360. If you’re sick of actually thinking when you play your shooters, this tribute to Sam "Serious" Stone might just be your perfect brain vacation.

That’s because this series is known for big guns, big laughs, and a blistering frame rate. Serious Sam harkens back to the days of games like Unreal Tournament and Rise of the Triad, where pace and gameplay took precedence over narrative finesse and multiplayer progression. If that sounds good to you, here’s the whole list of what you’ll be getting in the collection.

• Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter – A fully remastered version of the landmark first-person shooter from Croteam that changed the shooter scene forever.

• Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter – The legendary follow-up hit in glorious high-definition.

• Serious Sam 3: BFE + Serious Sam 3: Jewel of the Nile DLC – Serious Sam reclaims his throne as the king of indie shooters with a triumphant return to awesome in Serious Sam 3 and the epic expansion pack, Jewel of the Nile.

• Serious Sam Double D XXL – A side-scrolling shoot-fest that reimagines Serious Sam as a classic 2D shooter featuring one of the craziest weapons of all-time – the Gunstacker!

The entire package will sell for just $39.99. Expect to see it exclusively on the Xbox 360 July 12.
