Serious Sam 3 Has More DRM Up It’s Sleeve

December 8, 2011 by Elizabeth DeLoria

Chances are you’ve already heard about Serious Sam 3’s invincible scorpion DRM. It turns out that it wasn’t the only trick they had up their sleeve.

Chances are you’ve already heard about Serious Sam 3’s invincible scorpion DRM. It turns out that it wasn’t the only trick they had up their sleeve.

Those who have found a crack or work around for the invincible scorpion have discovered that they’re now, at random points in the game, being forced to stare at the sky and spin uncontrollably. You can reload your saves all you want, but it just keeps on happening. Enemies can still attack you and cause damage, but there’s nothing you can do about it, because you’re too busy staring at the sky and twirling around.

Now, there’s no doubt that this one will inevitably be worked around as well, but this really makes you wonder what else the game has hidden in there to foil pirates. Surely there’s a point where you just admit defeat and buy the game, especially when the game gives you just enough of a taste to want to keep playing.
