Former Boss Key Studios uninspired first-person shooter, LawBreakers is going free-to-play this week – unfortunately, the game’s free-to-play lifespan is going to be shortlived as servers will be shutting down in September.
This time last year, LawBreakers was a hot topic amongst the gaming community. Mainly because Twitter was never short of Cliff Bleszinski tweets consistently singing the game’s praises. Unfortunately, when the game finally released August 2017, it came crashing to the ground, only managing to maintain a player count of under 100 on Steam.

Dear LawBreakers,
In light of the unfortunate news regarding Boss Key Productions shutting down, we regret to announce that we will be sunsetting our support of LawBreakers on September 14, 2018 as we are not able to operate the game.
Our servers will remain open until then and the game will be made free-to-play on Steam for all players effective immediately. Please note that any and all new in-game purchases will also be disabled and we will not be able to accept any refund requests.
It’s always sad seeing a game with so much investment behind fail so badly, but hey I guess when there are other games out there with the same premise (and manage to pull it off way better) there no wonder why people don’t switch.
