Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo’s latest release of the undying Mario franchise is set to get a new competitive multiplayer mode for the title. This time Luigi takes the spotlight with this hide and seek game mode.
During the “Hiding Mode” player have to hide a special balloon somewhere in the world stage they are currently playing in. You’ll have to be quick though as You only have 30 seconds, so you’d better know some nice locations that no one else knows about.
“Finding Mode” players have to search for the other players’ balloon within the same time frame to receive a few gold coins and climb up the online leaderboards.
It isn’t the biggest change to the platformer, but it’s a nice little addition forcing players to explore every nook and cranny of the game.
In other Super Mario Odyssey news, the title has been confirmed to be the best selling game in the digital marketplace, Amazon.
With the launch of Nintendo’s console, the Switch, we’ve seen Nintendo jump from strength to strength, at one stage the Entertainment company’s stock price even managed to overtake Sony.
This seems indicative of the Amazon results, as Nintendo’s Super Mario Odysseymanaged to reign supreme, beating other games such as Call of Duty WW2 and Horizon Zero Dawn. In fact Nintendo managed to snag 6 top selling places out of 10 – an absolutely impressive achievement on part of Nintendo.
Super Mario Odyssey is out now on Nintendo Switch.
