Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us, this time going into no small amount of detail about the game's story. The release of the trailer is accompanied by three character renders depicting Lex Luthor in his powered armor suit, Harley Quinn, and Bane. Check those out below the fold.
Like Mortal Kombat, the game will contain a full fledged single-player storyline featuring the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League, as they go up against various villains in the DC Comics universe. It's an all new self-contained story, so you won't need to read the comics or play any of the other games to understand what's going on. There's no tie-in with the Arkhamverse, either.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is being developed by Netherrealm, best known for their work on Mortal Kombat, and is set for release on the PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 on April 19. There are no plans for a PC version of the game.
