For those who've been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 since launch, you might have encountered a little annoying bug that makes the game stutter and freeze when checking player profiles while in the game.
Fortunately or unfortunately — depending on your point of view — Treyarch is "aware" of the issue and game director David "Vahn" Vonderhaar has acknowledged it on his Twitter.
When tweeted by a fan that "There is an issue with checking profiles in game. Whole thing freezes, unable to move or do anything. Requires dashboard," Vonderhaar replied with a short, "Known issue. Thanks for the report."
Not sure if this is the same issue with other platforms, but for the PS3, checking someone's profile or even fiddling with menus when the match starts results in the first few seconds stuttering and getting a "Connection Interrupted" message pop up twice. This is based on my experience and is really annoying when you're playing Domination and want to cap the first flag.
While this isn't the only bug in the game right now, Treyarch did release a massive patch that's already live on the Xbox 360. Sadly, this freezing issue is not one of the things resolved. Let's hope this, and other issues are resolved in the next patch whenever that might be,
For more Black Ops 2 info, here's your first look at two of Revolution's maps in action. Speaking of which, the map pack will also include the first-ever weapon DLC for Call of Duty — the Peacekeeper SMG. If you have concerns about the gun, Vonderhaar also went on Twitter to answer some of them.
