PSA: Dystopian Sci-fi ‘Observer’ is Ready To Scare You

August 17, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Dark, disturbing and insane, Observer creates a reality where there’s nowhere to hide.

The wait for Bloober Team’s (Layers of Fear) mind-bending horror title Observer is finally over. Like Prey, it’s gripped by an unsettling atmosphere that affects reality, but this time, it’s all in the mind. Your fears are like digital artefacts that can be hacked into and extracted, and best of all? You’re the hacker.

Daniel Lazarski is an elite ‘neural hacker’ who travels through the Krakow slums to crack into the minds of criminals, but there’s a catch. Every time he hijacks their neural defences, he has to relive their darkest, most terrifying memories. In 2084, everything can be used against you in a court of law, including thoughts and feelings. Bloober Team invites you to lose yourself in an uber immersive first person experience that will leave you questioning your own reality, gasping for breath.

Observer is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can pick it up on Steam right now for $29.99 USD.

Read our interview with Bloober Team’s Rafał Basaj about the Layers of Fear expansion ‘Inheritance’ right here.
