Obduction Brings Puzzling Magic to PlayStation 4 & PSVR

July 21, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Travel the universe, unravel clues, and take fragments of Earth with you.

After its release for Mac and Windows, Cyan Inc’s unusual sci-fi puzzle adventure Obduction is preparing to arrive on PlayStation 4. Like its predecessors Myst and Riven, Obduction is a game shaped by the unexpected and otherworldly; alien landscapes become your playground for testing solutions to challenging puzzles, and facing the consequences for your decisions is inevitable.

Cyan Inc CEO Rand Miller said he was ‘excited’ to be bringing Obduction to PlayStation, and that the development team has been “working really hard to craft a special Odbuction experience” for Sony’s console. It clocks in at a relatively small 9GB, and comes with five exclusive avatars as well as a bonus PS4 theme.

Obduction arrives on PlayStation this August 29 for $29.99 USD. It will launch in a dual package containing both a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR version. Interested folks can pre-order the bundle right here. Obduction was originally brought to life thanks to kickstarter fans, who helped raise over $1M USD back in 2013.
