It was recently revealed that the 80s slasher experience, Friday the 13th: The Game will finally launch this coming May. Players will either become the infamous Jason Voorhees slaughtering their friends or become one of the camp councilors in an attempt to band together and defeat Jason or manage to escape the camp.
You might recall that the developers behind Friday the 13th: The Game, Gun Media and IllFonic, had delayed the title last year. Overall, the delay was to allow the developers enough time to flesh out a single player campaign experience, although, what that campaign narrative is based about is still unknown.
Regardless, the ability to go through the game with a campaign is certainly alright with fans who already can’t wait to get their hands on the title. Though, at any rate, the video game will be released on May 26, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the single player campaign narrative will be attached to the game when it initially releases. This bit of news comes from GameSpot in which they were able to confirm that the single player aspect of Friday the 13th: The Game will be launching at some point this summer.
While gamers will have to wait a bit longer than expected in order to go through the single-player campaign, the multiplayer aspect will be available right from the start. In the meantime, take a look at the latest trailer for the video game up above along with the game gallery down below.
