Pysonix announced this news via its official twitter page with a reference to the in-game chat functionality (which people tend to spam just to make you feel like an even shittier loser.)

Considering the company launched as a PlayStation freebie back in 2015 and has gone from strength to strength with new game modes and entering into the realm of e-sports just over the space of two years.
In light of this significant event, Psyonix has announced that it will be bringing the title to China and will be published by Tencent, the gargantuan Chinese investment holding company whose subsidiaries include Riot Games, Supercell, and Epic Games, along with a host of different e-commerce platforms.
In other news, Psyonix is ‘evaluating’ options of bringing the game to Nintendo Switch but we won’t know when.
Pretty amazing how well Rocket League has performed considering it’s only been active for 2 years – personally, I can see the appeal for this title along with its simplistic complexities – but I don’t think I’ll make a return back to Rocket League, its ability to piss you off is greater than any other ‘league’ style game.
