Square Enix recently held a new demo of its next-gen game engine Luminous Studio in Japan. During the presentation, Square Enix once again showed off the Agni's Philosophy tech demo they revealed earlier this year but with a few key differences.
Now, before you watch that trailer again, albeit with a few new camera angles, Square Enix also recreated their parking lot using the Luminous game engine and I have to admit, I honestly can't spot the difference between the rendered image to the real-life picture.
Give it a watch below.
Now that's out of the way, here's another look at Agni's Philosophy but with a few key differences. Here's the original tech demo for reference.
According to Square, this tech demo is rendered all in real-time and that makes it all the more impressive. Of course, we can't say for certain that next-gen visuals will look this good in-game, but can you imagine if it did?
Can Square Enix use Luminous Studio to reinvigorate the Final Fantasy series? If they can pull off these graphics for a next-gen Final Fantasy game, I'd expect there would be a lot more willing to give the franchise another go-around, no?
