While most gamers may be interested in the latest generation releases, the Wii U has just received a copy of Pikmin 2. The video game series was first brought into the market on the Nintendo GameCube. Currently, within the franchise there is a spinoff title slated to launch on the Nintendo 3DS.
Pikmin 2 launched back in 2004 for the GameCube and has since launched on the Wii with newly added motion controls. Today the video game has once again launched on a new Nintendo console, the Wii U. The video game comes through the Wii U Virtual Console with the additional bonus of off-screen play support.
Priced at $19.99, the video game should likely tie gamers over until Nintendo unveils a new main installment. Unfortunately, the video game franchise has yet to release for the Nintendo Switch which launched earlier this month.
The Switch doesn’t have a Virtual Console though when Nintendo does add the feature it’s not certain just what video game console titles will be featured.
At the very least, gamers who have yet to make the jump towards the Nintendo Switch from the Wii U, which is already proven to be difficult with retailers, can enjoy a new title right now.
