Survival in Nioh is all about leveling up your skills. If you want to survive the harsh, monster-infested environments, you’ll want to invest in the proper skills. Like the Dark Souls series, weapons and armor also have certain skill requirements — you can’t use weapons or armor until you’ve hit the baseline. If you’ve allocated all your points, don’t like the results, and want a complete do-over, that’s available to you in Nioh.
How does it work? It’s actually pretty simple. All you need is the Blacksmith and plenty of cash to spend. Nioh takes a more straightforward approach to respecs — no cryptic coffins or strange items here — although you will find stuff like that in Nioh. When it comes to giving up respecs, Nioh doesn’t mess around. You can actually do multiple respecs over a single game.
How to Reset All Your Skill Points | Respec Guide
To respec all your skill points, you’ll need a special item called the “Book of Reincarnation” — available for purchase at the Blacksmith shop.
- Book of Reincarnation: Consumable – Resets your level and skills after using it. It gets more expensive with each purchase. Available to buy at the Blacksmith.
- Cost: 10,000 (1st) / 30,000 (2nd) / 100,000 (3rd) / 300.000 (4rth) / 1,000,000 (5th)
You’ll retain your level, but you’ll be able to reallocate all your skills after using the Book of Reincarnation. Cannot be used during a mission. To actually use the book, you’ll need to select it from the Storehouse inventory menu.
- The Book of Reincarnation is also a Mission Reward, can be found, or traded for Glory at the Hidden Teahouse.
After using the Book of Reincarnation, you’ll recollect all the skill points you previously spent. Return to the Shrine to select your new skills — and you can always buy another (more expensive) Book of Reincarnation from the Blacksmith later on if you made another mistake.
