The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is skipping Xbox 360 and PS3, and that makes importing your save files onto the PS4 or Xbox One trickier than before. Your choices still matter in the long-running The Walking Dead spin-off series by Telltale, and all your decisions from Season 2 can carry-over into the next generation of console hardware if you follow the steps prescribed by Telltale support.
In The Walking Dead: Season 2, you continue the story with Clem as she encounters new survivors and old friends. The multiple endings send Clem to wildly different locations, so it will be interesting to see how Season 3 pushes the story forward. Clem is confirmed, and we can only imagine that the next season introduces a taste of civilization to the bleak, zombie-infested universe of TWD.
How to Import Your Season 2 Save File
[NOTE: If you no longer have access to save files, The Walking Dead: A New Frontier adds a new feature that allows you to choose what decisions you made to properly tailor your backstory using the Story Generator.]
The Walking Dead: Season 3 will not be available on Xbox 360 or PS3, but if you still have save files on those systems, it is possible to import your Season 2 save file so that story can continue with your choices intact.
There are multiple ways to transfer / import save files. Here, we’ll walk you through all instances depending on what platforms you own, and what steps are required to continue the story.
If You Own TWD: Season 2 and TWD: Season 3 On the Same Platform…

- Select ‘Episodes’ from the Main Menu
- Select ‘Continue Your Story’
