There’s nothing more annoying than encountering a locker you can’t open in Dead Rising 4. Usually, lockers contain a valuable blueprint — and new to Dead Rising 4, you’ll also find safe room bunkers. By scanning special symbols, these vaults can be opened if you’ve already found the proper key. Instead of blueprints, you’re bound to find survivors in a safe room.
The only way to upgrade the Emergency Center is to rescue survivors. The more survivors you bring in, the more items you can purchase from the various vendors. There are plenty of ways to save survivors, but opening Zom-B rooms will find those hidden handful that don’t appear anywhere else.

Lockers & Safe Rooms | Key Locations Guide
Locker keys open locked shelves that usually contain a blueprint or rare items. Zom-B Safe keys open hidden bunkers. Use alternate camera viewfinder modes to help locate these hidden safe rooms.
After finding a key, the locker will appear on your map. If you find a Zom-B Safe Key, a blue circle will appear — go to the area and search for a secret bunker entrance using the Spectrum Analyzer.
Willamette Memorial Megaplex – Key Locations
- El Mode Design Locker Key
- Location: Found in the security office behind the front counter of the Virago Hotel in the Amazon Food Court.
- Froztee’s Lockey Key
- Location: Get the key from the raised circular bar platform in the center of the Amazon Food Court.
- Pirate’s Cove Restaurant Locker Key
- Location: The key is on the second floor of the facade on the southern-center wall of Caribbean Cove. Climb the curved stairs to find a body with the keys.
- Virago Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the women’s restroom, just outside the front entrance to the Virago Hotel in the Amazon Food Court.
- Charms of Desire Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Just outside Albert’s Apparel, on the first floor thoroughfare near the west side of Caribbean Cove.
- Baron Von Brathaus Locker Key
- Location: Under the dining table in the center of Burger Fiefdom in Medieval Town.
- Cruz Tanning Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: The key is on the floor next to the lounge chairs to the left of the Pirate’s Catch Restaurant on the map.
- Synthetic Cosmetics Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: The Zom-B bunker key is in the back corner of Rhiannon Ferosh in the Miami Boardwalk area.
- North Pole Town Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: The key to the bunker is in the Central Plaza, right on Santa’s big chair in North Pole Village.
- Komodo Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Enter the kitchen through the Employee’s Only hallway behind Kuan’s Bubble Tea in Kiichiro Plaza.
- Max Dymond Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Down the hall near the Poppers toy store, check the open stall in the adjacent men’s restroom.
- Manskape Stylists Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Found on the roof of the Burger Fiefdom in Medieval Town. To reach it, climb onto the awning from the Baron Von Brathaus stairs and follow the path all the way around to the burger restaurant second floor.
- B. Reddy Insurance Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Get this key from the fountain near the elevators in the Central Plaza.
- White Rook Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Located in the located room where you find the Locations Vendor in the mall security room Emergency Shelter. This is also the room where you investigate Vick’s whereabouts in Case 1.
- Obscuris Locker Key
- Location: Found in the military tent outside the front entrance from the Central Plaza. As you leave, look in the back-left tent.
- Security Keycard
- Location: In the locked room in the Quarantine Zone, outside Central Plaza. Once you enter the investigation area with the corpses impaled in the statue, enter the small room to the right to find a desk covered with pictures. The card is on this desk.
- Classy Jack’s Antiques Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the maintenance hallway near a survivor event, next to the open doors to the Central Plaza. Search the maintenance hallway through the doors next to North Pole Town Square Workshop.
Old Town – Key Locations
- Willamette Taxi Co. Locker Key
- Location: Found under the stairs in Cochrane’s Irish Pub.
- City Hall Archives
- Location: On the desk at the abandoned military gate, just up the street from the City Hall Archives entrance in Old Town.
- Willamette Gazette Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Find this key in the Old Town Emergency Shelter, in the room to the left of the front entrance.
- B Reddy Insurance Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the medical room to the right as you enter the Old Town Emergency Shelter.
- Residential Apartment Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Found on the table in the apartment above Dodd’s Drugs. To gain access, climb the fire escape behind the drugstore in the alley and climb through the third floor window.
- Big Buck Hardware Key
- Location: In the empty lot next to Big Buck’s Hardware.
- Cochrane’s Irish Pub Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: On the second floor of Cochrane’s Irish Pub, grab this key for the hidden bunker door in the basement.
- Willamette Junkyard Locker Key
- Location: Right on the military crate as you enter the area of the Junkyard guarded by Obscuris soldiers. Part of the main mission in Case 1.
- McKenzie Auto Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Found on a table in the center of McKenzie Auto, available after defeating the Flame Trooper at the end of Case 1 in the junkyard.

- Location: Found next to the dumpsters in the back corner of the Christmas Tree lot, near the Maniac battle arena.

- Location: Inside the Colossus Express Couriers Ltd. office.

- Location: On the counter at Buffy’s Laundromat.
- Construction Site Locker Key
- Location: In the northern Tornado Convenience Stop, in the small area between Old Town and North Peak.
West Ridge – Key Locations
- Hunter Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the armory room to the left as you enter through the front doors of the West Ridge Emergency Shelter.
- Gardner’s Locker Key
- Location: Collect the key from the Gardner’s Residence, in the bedroom. It unlocks the blueprint locker in the garage.
- Patriot Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Grab it from the garage in the West Ridge Emergency Shelter.
- Mekanick Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Find the key in the Mekanick Residence garage.
- Prawrp Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: This key is found in the living room filled with props at the Prawp Residence interior.
- Quizeens Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: The key is found in the master bedroom of the Quizeens Residence, on the second floor and inside the larger closet.
- Hudson’s Dairy Farm Locker Key
- Location: On the coffee table near the fireplace in the first floor residence within Tom’s Compound.
- Kent Farm Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Inside the fresh produce stand that’s shuttered, across the street from Kent’s Farm.
- Obadiah Cattle Farm Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Found in the garage of the X-Mas Tree lot. Move the Antique Car to spot it on the ground.
- Booker Residence Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Go to the second floor bedroom of the Booker Residence, in the Gated Community.
- Barnaby’s Lab Locker Key
- Location: Through the basement of Golden Apple Vineyards, find the keys in the secret lab office, on the desk near the window.
- Farm Keys
- Location: On the desk inside Tom’s secret office in Tom’s Compound. Opens the garage and the cellar behind the barn.
North Peak – Key Locations

- Location: Collect it in the locker room — that’s the first room you enter.
- Gruff ‘n Tuff Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the garage of the North Peak Emergency Shelter.
- Freebird’s Gun Shack Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: In the armory of the North Peak Emergency Shelter.

- Location: On the first floor bar in the Glitter Dolls Nightclub.

- Location: In the food pantry of the North Peak Emergency Shelter.

- Location: On the front desk of McKenzie Auto.

- Location: On the tool cabinet inside the garage of McKenzie Auto.

- Location: Inside the Zom-B bunker at McKenzie Auto.
- Sewer Tunnel System Locker Key
- Location: From the North Peak train tracks, head into the tunnel and find a busted door lit by a green flood light. In the first room of the sewers, you’ll find a dead body with this key.

- Location: Inside the Tornado Convenience store.
- Glitter Dolls Nightclub Zom-B Safe Key
- Location: Near the alley door, on the concrete area with the metal railings, just outside the Glitter Dolls Nightclub.
- Technician’s Keys
- Location: After setting the explosives and entering the first room of Calder’s inner lair in the underground, look for an open door on the right. The key is located here.
