Fight “The Battle for Times Square” in Level 5 of our collectibles walkthrough. The Ghostbusters (2016) Story Pack ramps up in this penultimate LEGO Dimensions stage, sending the Ghostbusters team to fight a literal parade of phantoms. Running around the specter-invaded streets of New York, you’ll find 10 more minikits and a customary Paul Feig rescue. We’ve got all the locations listed below.

Ghostbusters (2016): Level 5 – All Collectibles Guide
The Ghostbusters (2016) Story Pack includes 6 new levels for Abby Yates and the rest of the Ghostbusters crew to explore. There are 10 minikits and 1 minifig rescue per level — that’s a total of 60 minikits and 6 rescues for the whole expansion.
You’ll need more than just the Ghostbusters to get these minikits. We’ll explain which powers you’ll need to unlock every optional path, and always check the “?” block to learn which characters can activate (or break!) strange LEGO objects. Punching the “?” block also allows you to use the Hire-A-Hero system. If you don’t have the right character for-real, you can spend in-game studs to unlock any hero for a short amount of time.
Level 5: The Battle for Times Square
Minikit #1:
- Required Powers: Grapple, Batarang
- Location: Ghosts from Our Past – At the theater front doors, look for an orange grapple point Batman can use. Look up from the “Musical, On Ice!” poster to spot it. When you’re on the marquee, use Batman’s batarang on the Bat-symbol. The statue of the film camera will rise up and reveal a hidden minikit.
Minikit #2:
- Required Powers: Silver Lego Blowup
- Location: Ghosts from Our Past – Outside the Snappy Photo store where there’s another wall of ghosts, look in the foreground to find a blue construction worker port-a-potty. Blast the silver LEGO door with any missile-equipped characters to destroy the metal bricks. Activate the LEGO Dimensions device and search the flat area to the right of the street. Find the hidden object and bring it into existence to get a minikit reward.
Minikit #3:
- Required Powers: Flying Vehicle, Charge Dock
- Location: Ghosts from Our Past – This requires a very specific type of flying vehicle — one that can dock onto flying LEGO devices and charge. The dock is floating directly above the street in the same area where you found the previous minikit. Charge the flying dock station to make a minikit appear.
Minikit #4:
- Required Powers: Relic Detector
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – Find some magenta sparkles at the Electronics store and scan them with Wyldstyle’s Relic Detector.
Minikit #5:
- Required Powers: None!
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – In this section of the level, all you need to do is destroy five wanted posters. There is one on the right side of the Electronics store, one to the right of the Big Burgers, one to the left of the doors under the theater marquee, and two are located on the far right near the tall ghost in the crowd.
Minikit #6:
- Required Powers: Drill
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – There’s a cracked LEGO wall you can drill to the left of the theater building. Drill through to find the hidden kit.
Minikit #7:
- Required Powers: Vine Cut, Growth, Magic
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – Go to the “Flowers” store and cut through the thick vines with Finn (Adventure Time). This leads to an optional room with lots of activities to complete. Start by using Aquaman’s water beam on the dirt to the left. Use magic on the LEGO object with sparkling stars nearby to get the plant monster to let go of your minikit.
Minikit #8:
- Required Powers: Ghost Trap
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – In the same Flower shop, smash all the red LEGO objects in the front-right corner, then build the hopping bricks to create a Ghost Trap. Interact with any of the Ghostbusters to summon a minikit.
Minikit #9:
- Required Powers: Sword Switch
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – Still in the same Flower shop, use the Sword Switch to the right of the stairs. Finn (Adventure Time) has the sword for this job.
Rescue:
- Required Powers: Fuse Box
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – Wipe out the ghosts invading the upper level of the Flower shop, then use the Fuse Box to the left of the green laser cage.
Minikit #10:
- Required Powers: Super Strength
- Location: Gertrude, Sparky, Mayhem, Oh My! – On the upper level of the Flower shop, after getting rid of the ghosts, use any super-strong character to pull open the orange handle behind the counter located around the back-left of the store.
