You can continue to play your Nintendo Switch 1 games on the Nintendo Switch 2 and select games from the previous console have official support that makes them run faster, look better, or even adds totally new functionality like the new Gamechat or Gameshare features on the Nintedo Switch 2. Every upgraded game is a little different, and some games are getting specific paid upgrades you’ll need to purchase through the Nintedo eShop. Here’s a full list of all the free and paid upgrades that are available now or coming soon.

Paid Upgrades For Switch 2
Select Switch 1 games offer paid upgrades that significantly enhance the experience on Switch 2. Enhancements are different for every game, and enhancements are only available on the Switch 2 — upgraded games are still playable on Switch 1, but all enhancements are limited to the Switch 2.
