There are 6 cooperative missions in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 — and Tyranids aren’t the only problems you’ll need to worry about. While searching for precious ammo and health packs, you’ll also find dataslates. While dataslates don’t offer any additional benefits, finding them all will unlock the Data Mining achievement / trophy. You’ll need to find all 12 in Operations and 23 in the Campaign. All Operations Dataslate Locations
Dataslates are glowing green audio logs. Activating one will initiate a short note message. Dataslates can be collected multiple times — they do not disappear after listening once and can be re-collected on later runs.
- Dataslate #1: Inferno Operation Mission – In the jungle area, you’ll be fighting through Tyranids until you reach a pipeline above the main path. Turn around when you reach this path and enter the open bunker. The dataslate is in the back-left. This is during the ‘Reach the Astra Militarum Camp’ objective.
- Dataslate #2: Inferno Operation Mission – Inside the massive interior of the Promethium Refinery, you’ll reach a room with two levels to the left during the ‘Advance to the Observation Platform’ objective. Look on the upper level for a body with this Dataslate.
- Dataslate #3: Decapitation Operation Mission – During the ‘Proceed to Bridge Tower’ objective, you’ll enter a massive cathedral. Go up the center stairs then up more stairs to reach the exterior balcony — look on the right.
- Dataslate #4: Decapitation Operation Mission – At the ‘Pursue the Hive Tyrant’ mission objective, you’ll reach a large maintenance hallway with a spinning fan. Look to the right of the fan for a broken fan vent. There’s a dataslate here.
- Dataslate #5: Vox Liberatis Operation Mission – On ‘Find A Way To Take Down The Warp Shielding’ you’ll cross a bridge to an open doorway of a brick building. Go down the stairs to the right, then turn left at the bottom. Enter the dead-end passage here to collect a dataslate.
- Dataslate #6: Vox Liberatis Operation Mission – Later in the mission when you need to ‘Restore the Elevator System’ you’ll need to move forward to a glowing blue reactor area. Before going down that passage, go right to a desk area.
- Dataslate #7: Reliquary Operation Mission – On the way to the ‘Warp Beacon’ you’ll reach a door with a glowing green seal. Go up to the raised ledge on the left to find a dataslate.
- Dataslate #8: Reliquary Operation Mission – Continuing the same objective, you’ll exit outside to a burning area full of fire. Cross the road to the tower and look on the balcony to the right.
- Dataslate #9: Fall of Atreus Operation Mission – Proceed to the ‘Mechanicus Compound’ until you reach a loadout drop pod. In the large room full of pillars, backtrack to the back-left corner to find a dataslate.
- Dataslate #10: Fall of Atreus Operation Mission – On the same objective, continue through the maintenance catwalks, up the ramps with pumping machines on the right. Go left part of the way up the ramps to a dead-end full of crates with a dataslate.
- Dataslate #11: Ballistic Engine Operation Mission – Travelling to the ‘Militarum Depot’ you’ll enter a worship area with a glowing gold centerpiece. Go right from the altar, then go right again to a small desk.
- Dataslate #12: Ballistic Engine Operation Mission – At the ruined Train Depot, run toward the bridge to find an abandoned Chimera tank with a Dataslate right next to it.
And that’s all 12 Dataslates in the Operations game mode. Find them all, including the 23 collectibles in the campaign to unlock the Data Mining achievement / trophy.
