Hades 2 is all about that grind. In any given run you will be looking to harvest a bevy of items to add to your stash in the desperate attempt to unlock the next powerful Incantation on your list. It’s a fairly repetitive cycle, but it’s backed up by killer combat and a wonderful cast of characters.
Marble is one of the many resources in Hades 2 that you are going to need to harvest. Marble is harder to get than most. Not only that, you are going to need a fair amount of it if you want to progress. In this guide we are going to walk you through how to find it, why you should get as much of it as possible, and how to increase your gains per run.
Note: Do be aware that Hades 2 is still in Early Access, so anything and everything is subject to change.

Where To Find Marble In Hades 2
Marble is one of the more common resources in the game, and that is because you will find it in Tartarus. This is the fourth area of Hades 2. Of course, the game is more difficult in this region, so newer players may struggle, but as you get more experience, Tartarus becomes a pretty safe place to explore. In short, the better you are, the more Marble you will find by not being dead.
Marble is a node-based resource, so you can’t just find it lying around on the ground. You also can’t buy it from any vendor, nor can you trade for it. You will find Marble as a stonehead in Tartarus, and you need to have the Crescent Pickaxe unlocked to harvest it. If you don’t have it unlocked yet, you can’t do anything with the node.
You can interact with Marble nodes 3 times before the node dries up, with each interaction giving you a single piece of Marble.
Quick Note: You DO NOT need to have the pickaxe equipped to harvest Marble. You simply need to have the tool unlocked.
What Is Marble Used For
Marble is primarily used for mid-game incantations, although it also crops up in some late-game ones. It’s also needed in vast amounts with some rituals requiring double-digits to get anything done. Because of this, you want to stock up on Marble early so you don’t have to rush around later on desperately trying to brew up a progression-based incantation.
The most important use for Marble is unlocking upgraded tools with the Greater Favour Of Gaia incantation. This incantation is a game-changer. Whilst it is a fairly late-game Incantation, you want to unlock it the moment you are able because upgraded tools are far more effective than their basic counterparts.
How To Get More Marble In Hades 2
Like with any node-based resource, you don’t need to equip the Crescent Pickaxe to harvest a node. As long as you have the tool unlocked, you can smack away. That being said, we highly recommend you have the Crescent Pickaxe equipped when you go out Marble farming. This is because nodes will appear more often with the requisite tool equipped.
Don’t forget you can harvest nodes three times before they run dry. You don’t want to hit it once and move on, as you are drastically reducing your gains per run. Not only that, but be sure to unlock The Greater Favour Of Gaia as soon as you can. Having an upgraded pickaxe lets you harvest an additional time, which is huge.
Finally, if you are struggling to spot Marble during your runs, we recommend using the Reagent Sensing Incantation. This permanently unlocks a beam of light that will spawn and point you towards resources in a room. Once unlocked, you will never miss a node again.
