The haunting action-adventure game Ghostwire: Tokyo is less than ten days away and players are beginning to ask the big questions: Can I play offline? So far, Tango Gameworks has slowly released new information on the game in the ramp-up to its release. In fact, fans were treated to an 18-minute gameplay video of the upcoming title just a week ago. The short feature showed that players will be able to jump into a hyper-realistic version of Tokyo and go up against various spirits with the use of powerful psychic abilities.
Of course, not all gamers have the fastest internet connection and might prefer to play the game offline. Previous titles from Tango Gameworks such as Evil Within and Evil Within 2 have both been single-player titles and have offered players the ability to enjoy the games in offline mode. So, will Ghostwire: Tokyo follow suit?

How necessary is an internet connection when playing Ghostwire: Tokyo?
It looks like gamers are in luck, as the PlayStation Store lists “offline play enabled” on the Ghostwire: Tokyo page, which should mean this feature will be available for PC on Steam as well. As the game is single-player, it makes sense that traipsing through the streets of Tokyo and single-handedly taking on ghosts wouldn’t require an internet connection. In addition, Ghostwire: Tokyo on PS5 will also support and require the use of vibration function and adaptive triggers. Game Help guides will also be accessible to PS Plus members for those tricky areas of the game.
The wait is almost over as Ghostwire: Tokyo officially launches on March 25, 2022, for PC and as a timed exclusive for the PS5. If the anticipation is too much for anyone, developers recently released a free visual novel inspired by the game; it is available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
