#7. Daedric Artifact Weapons [Skyrim]
Daedric Artifacts are some of the deadliest weapons in Skyrim. Mehrune’s Razor, the Mace of Molag Bal, and all the rest — they’re so deadly, it doesn’t even seem fair. And if you’re not particularly magically inclined, they’re all on a timer. Enchanted weapons only have so many charges, and once that charge is out, even Mehrune’s Razor isn’t so special anymore.
Of course, you can always use Soul Trap to regenerate enchantment — if you’re into that sort of thing. If you’re a casual Skyrim player, it’s one of the most complicated systems to wrap your barbarian head around, leaving tons of players with worthless used-up Daedric Artifacts in their inventories.
Well, unless you obtain the Ebony Blade. That weapon has unlimited charges — but we still won’t use it. To enhance its power, you have to kill friendly NPCs. Not all of us want to be psychopathic killers.
#8. Literally Any Weapon [Undertale]
Speaking of killing, you can obtain multiple weapons in Undertale that enhance your [Attack] command in battle, allowing you to deal more damage to the various monsters you encounter. There’s just one problem with them — this weird little indie RPG isn’t about killing monsters.
For most battles in Undertale, players will use the [Mercy] command in conjunction with other tricks to defeat your opponents through acts of kindness. Each battle is a mini-puzzle to solve instead of a stats-based battle to the death. You’re always free to use your weapons, but killing enemies initiates a twisted storyline called the Genocide Path, where you brutally murder each of the friendly monster characters in your way.
A Genocide Run isn’t just creepy, it’s also extremely difficult. Most of us normies are going to do our best to avoid it.
These are the items we could do without. Find more on the next page.
