10 Secrets, Cheats & Easter Eggs That Took Fans Years To Discover

August 11, 2020 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Insulting pit crews, kickass schoolgirls, and secret pirate ships — these are the Easter eggs it took fans years to find.

Bald Bull Camera Flash [Punch Out]

It’s crazy to think that fans are still discovering new secrets in Punch Out, a little NES boxing simulator that’s just packed with hidden strategies. One of the best is a hidden clue in the crowd, indicating when you need to deliver a body blow to knockout Bald Bull during his special Bull Charge attack.

If you watch the crowd carefully, you can see someone taking a picture with a camera. The flash of the camera indicates when you need to punch! Getting the timing just right is tough, because you’ll need to stand strong in the face of Bald Bull’s intimidating charge. But if you land that body punch, you’ll instantly send Bald Bull reeling.

Weird Seal Quest [Splinter Cell: Double Agent]

There’s a completely bizarre Easter egg quest in Splinter Cell: Double Agent — but only in the cooperative missions. These are so secret, the developers had to come out and reveal that this even existed. Which makes sense, there really is nothing else like this in any of the Splinter Cell games.

To get started, you need to shoot a specific locker to open it, collect a floating gold coin, and use it on a vending machine. A little seal will pop out and you can talk to it. It’ll ask for food — and there’s a lot more to this weird quest. Just watch the video above for the entire runthrough.
