‘What About Bob?’ Gold Elites
Unlike the invisible Elite, there are actually multiple Gold Elites hidden throughout the game. For taking down any one of them, you’ll earn the ‘What About Bob?” achievement. If you’re curious, find one in Mission: Winter Contingency — start at Bravo, and set your difficulty to Heroic or Legendary.
Stick to the left side of the map and drive past the waterfall and down the hill. When you hit a checkpoint, immediately stop and turn around! Go up the hill and you’ll see a Golden Elite with a group of friends. This is just one of many golden elites, and one of the easiest — you can run him over!
Reach Racer Super Easter Egg | ‘Forza in the Fall’
On Mission 3: Oni Sword Base, you can get this Easter egg by playing co-op on any difficulty. At the very start, hop onto the Warthog and drive down to the small base by the water that’s been overrun by Covenant. By the water, on the rocks, stand on a stone and look toward the frozen glacier to the right — if you look at a very, very specific spot, a prompt will appear that says ‘Press [B] To Open Door’.
Next, go to the second base. From the starting area, drive back-right to the base on the cliffs. Just as you enter the area, look right for a high rocky ledge with bushes growing on it. Look at the massive air base in the far distance — you’ll find a second ‘Press [B] To Open Door’ prompt.
Both co-op partners need to press these two secret buttons at the same time. When you do, both players will respawn at the start of the map with two Warthogs! You’ll also get race checkpoints to follow. There’s a whole lot more to this Easter egg, so I recommend going for it.
4 Banshee Surprise | ‘Fly You Fools!’ Easter Egg
On Mission: The Package, you can find a hidden Banshee Easter egg that’ll net you the ‘Fly You Fools!’ achievement. Like the previous Easter egg, you’ll need a co-op partner to help. You’ll need to grab a working Ghost at the start of the mission.
Continue on the mission until you reach a Scorpion tank. Straight ahead of the tank, go to the shore and look left. When you jump out-of-bounds and into the water, you can spot a bright green button. The second button is located at the pier at the start of the level — use the Ghost to nudge a large wooden crate out from under the dock to reveal another hidden button.
Press both buttons with your co-op partner — press the beach button, and the docks button will appear. Once both are pressed, four Banshee flyers will appear on the starting building. You can use them to make this mission way easier!
Using The Pelican Turret | Glitch Easter Egg
To do this glitchy Easter egg, go to Mission 6: Long Night of Solace. Jump straight to Checkpoint Charlie and unlock the hangar shields to bring the Pelican craft inside. When the Pelican lands, go to the right-side of the cockpit and duck — hold [B] and press into the flyer, and you’ll eventually glitch inside.
Now you have control! You’ll be stuck behind a texture, but a little finagling will help you see through it. Now you can use the Pelican turret to blast enemies — and this is clearly not intended. Nothing about the Pelican looks right. It’s a buggy mess, and using it barely works. This might’ve been a cut feature that someone accidentally left intact, but it’s pretty neat! You’ll earn the ‘Jorge Can’t Have All The Big Guns’ achievement for finding this one.
That’s all the Easter Eggs we’ve found so far. There are tons of Easter eggs in this remake, and lots of them have achievements. We’ll add more if there are secrets we forgot!
