For Poke-fans that picked up Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee (or both!), there’s a bonus reward waiting for you in Pokémon Sword & Shield. Find the right NPCs, and you’ll earn yourself a fancy reward — Gigantamax Pikachu or Gigantamax Eevee! They’re easy to get, but they’re also really easy to miss if you don’t know where to go. We’ll explain with the quickie guide below.
While these bonus Pokémon can’t evolve, they can turn into their super-sized forms in any Dynamax battle, giving you an early edge if you’re eager to try out the Max Raids in the Wild Area.
If you didn’t play either of the Let’s Go games, you can still find Eevee and Pikachu! They’re located on Route 4 in both versions of the game — try searching near the Pokekids wearing themed costumes. That’s where they popped up for me.

How To Get Gigantamax Let’s Go Pikachu / Eevee | Location Guide
To claim a Gigantamax Pikachu or Gigantamax Eevee, you need to have a save file for Let’s Go Pikachu or Let’s Go Eevee on your Nintendo Switch system. The game does not need to be installed — as long as you have a save file, you’re good to go.
Pokémon Sword & Shield will automatically detect your game. The trick is just finding the right NPCs to claim your rewards. Travel to the Meetup Spot — the first train station you’ll travel to from Wedgehurst. In the station, look to the left of the train platform entrance — there are two NPCs. One of these NPCs will give you Gigantamax Pikachu, and the other will give you Gigantamax Eevee.
Just talk to them to get your Gigantamax gift! These Pokémon can’t evolve, but they come with their special Gigantamax Forms right from the start. If you’re looking for normal Pikachu or Eevee that can evolve, travel to Route 4. It’s just outside Turffield. Pikachu and Eevee seem to appear near their matching Pokekids.
If you’re looking for more Gigantamax, early players can claim Gigantamax Meowth for a limited time. To claim him, just open your Rotom menu and select Mystery Gift — connect to the internet and you’ll get your free Meowth.
