Some of the best equipment in Hitman 2 (2018) has to be unlocked before you can use it. Some of these tools, like the lockpick or silenced sniper rifle, are practically required to complete certain challenges in future levels. Best of all, you can bring unlocked equipment with you to any other map in the game — and that includes all the destinations from Hitman 1.
One of my personal favorites late-game equipment unlocks is the Remote EMP. Just drop this bomb on the ground, and you can trick a guard into taking it to the nearest security room. Just detonate when it’s near a security station, and you’ll knock out all the security cameras in an area. There are other great items too — you can unlock a Tranquilizer Gun, a Remote Distraction Device, and disposable Keycard Scramblers. See all the equipment unlocks below.
