Check The Mess Hall Before Leveling Up For Easy-To-Miss Orders

Here’s a very quick tip. Before spending your XP at the Training Yard, visit the Mess Hall. You’ll discuss a subject with other characters, and often, the dialogue will end with an offer to spend XP to purchase a new Order. Some of these orders aren’t that handy, but some of them are absolutely critical. You can miss them, too.

If you spend your XP first, you won’t be able to go back and buy these orders until later. XP can be earned through skirmishes, but you can grab orders much earlier. I recommend playing through Skirmishes, and instead of using the XP to level-up, check the Mess Hall first and spend your valuable points there.

Every Mission Cheats, Be Prepared For The Unexpected

Here’s something every Valkyria Chronicles player needs to know — be prepared for the unexpected. At a certain point, every single mission will change. You’ll swap positions and get a new difficult objective. Usually after completing the first major objective. You’ll think the mission is over, but no! There’s a lot more to do, and it’s usually hard.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is much nicer than other entries in the series, so far. Instead of dropping you into a bas situation, the game will usually move your remaining soldiers to a new location. Any downed soldiers will automatically be collected by medics, so you won’t lose them forever.

This isn’t a great tip, because you can never predict how a mission will change. All you can be sure of is this — missions will change, circumstances will shift radically. Be prepared for the unexpected.
