Thirsty Gods | Challenge Tomb Guide
The last Challenge Tomb is also located in the Mission of San Juan. Starting from the Ruined Tower Base Camp, travel southeast into the water, east of the hunting grounds. Dive into the water and swim into the canyon to the right of the thin waterfall.
- After sliding down through the skull mouth entrance, squeeze through the narrow gap and you’ll be able to dive down and cut free a platform tied to the bottom of the water.
- When the platform is cut free, you’ll be able to reach the Flood Basin Base Camp.
- Enter the proper Challenge Tomb (you’ll know it when you see it) and look down to spot two floating rafts. The third is tied to the floor. Cut it free. The fourth raft is also tied to the floor — swim under the debris to find the rope. Cut it free also.
- Use the fourth raft to climb up onto dry land to the left of the temple, and circle around behind the stuck water wheel. Locate the turnstyle lever and push it clockwise until the water spout is filling the hanging container.
- The weight of the container will cause it to lower, also lowering the water level. While the water level is lowered, drop down and connect the water wheel to the mechanism beneath the skull at the temple with a rope-arrow.
- Turn the water spout so it’s pouring over the water wheel again. Only use it a little bit — you don’t want the rope to snap. Raise the water just enough so the gate swings open.
- Swim into the open gate passage to enter the skull temple. Now it’s just a simple matter of climbing up to the top to get your final prize.
Reward: Sip’s Strike – Charged arrows deals more damage against armored opponents.
