Top Upcoming PC Video Games Of 2019

June 5, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Top most anticipated PC video games of 2019.

Metro Exodus
  • Developer: 4A Games
  • Publisher: Deep Silver
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: February 22, 2019

Metro Exodus will be set in the year 2036 which will follow the events of Metro: Last Light. Earth is still in shambles from the nuclear war as players step into the role of Artyom. During Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference we got a look into the world players will be diving into.

Much like the previous installment, players will find that the world is filled with hostile creatures and a variety of guns to use towards your advantage. Since the game is not set to release until February of next year, we imagine more information regarding the game will be unveiled at a later date.

Tom Clancy’s: The Division 2
  • Developer: Massive Entertainment
  • Publisher: Ubisoft
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: March 15, 2019

The Division was a big hit as an online third-person shooter. During E3 2018, we got a look at the upcoming sequel, The Division 2. Players will find that the story will take place months after the events of the first title. This time around, it seems that agents of The Division are going up against a corrupt government, causing a second civil war within The United States of America.

Gameplay still seems to be focused around teamwork and a level progression system. Likewise, it was announced that during the first year of The Division 2’s release, developers will be launching three DLC packs which will include new story and activities. Best of all, these DLC packs will be completely free for everyone who purchases a copy of the game.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood
  • Developer: MachineGames
  • Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
  • Platforms: XBO, PS4, PC
  • Release: 2019

A new installment to the Wolfenstein franchise was unveiled during E3 2018. Players will find that this latest installment will not star BJ but instead focus on his twin daughters. Set in the 1980s, the twin daughters are fighting back against the evil Nazi regime.

While there haven’t been too many details released for this particular game, we did get news that Wolfenstein: Youngblood will feature a cooperative game mode. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait and see what else to expect from the game in the coming months.

Devil May Cry 5
  • Developer: Capcom
  • Publisher: Capcom
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2019

At E3 2018 Capcom showcased Devil May Cry 5. This title is set to take place a few years after the events of Devil May Cry 4 where players will be battling another demonic invasion with the help of Nero. Outside of what appears to be another fast-paced fluid combat system, we know the story will take place several years after Devil May Cry 2 where both Nero and Dante’s journey cross paths when a demon invasion leads them in tracking down a mysterious hooded individual.

Gears of War 5
  • Developer: The Coalition
  • Publisher: Microsoft Studios
  • Platforms: XBO, PC
  • Release: 2019

The next chapter in the main Gears of War franchise is heading to both Xbox One and PC platforms within the upcoming year. Revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference, we know that the game narrative will follow Kait Diaz as she dwells into a personal journey. Within the game, we may uncover the truth behind the Locust as players gun down and saw through the enemy forces.

While this won’t be the only Gears title slated to launch in the franchise in 2019, we expect the main title installment will get more fleshed out details as we move closer to its release. Until then, check out the announcement trailer for the upcoming game posted above.
