Top Upcoming PC Video Games Of 2019

June 5, 2019 by Dennis Patrick

Top most anticipated PC video games of 2019.

Starfield
  • Developer: Bethesda
  • Publisher: Bethesda
  • Platforms: TBD
  • Release: TBD

Starfield is a brand new IP RPG title from the development team at Bethesda. The development studio may be known more for their line of Fallout and The Elder Scroll titles but unfortunately, the team has yet to make any real reveals. Outside of its official announcement of an RPG title set in space during their press conference event at E3 2018, we don’t have much more to go off on. The title is supposedly developed for next-generation consoles and will release before The Elder Scrolls VI. For now, we’ll have to wait and see if any new information is released during this year’s E3 expo.

Phoenix Point
  • Developer: Snapshot Games
  • Publisher: Snapshot Games
  • Platforms: PC, XBO
  • Release: June 2019

Set to be an X-COM series spiritual successor, Phoenix Point is a turn-based tactics strategy video game with heavy inspirations from the Lovecraft works. Players will be fighting off an alien invasion while at first only having control of a lone base known as Phoenix Point. Set in the not so distant future, humanity becomes under attack after the discovery of an extraterrestrial virus and over the course of the game, you’ll find that these viruses are able to cause the aliens to mutate. If you enjoy the strategic style gameplay from X-COM along with classic Lovecraft style horror then this is one game you won’t want to miss out on. Currently, the title is set to release within June of this year.

Session
  • Developer: Crea-ture Studios
  • Publisher: Crea-ture Studios
  • Platforms: PC, XBO
  • Release: 2019

Skateboarding video games have seemed to lost their edge this past generation of consoles. That may soon change with the upcoming release of Session, a video game being developed by indie developer Crea-ture Studios. This is a Microsoft exclusive so you’ll need to be on a Windows 10 platform or the Xbox One.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, developers are creating the game to be similar to the late 1990s and early 2000s skateboarding video game releases, such as the Tony Hawk Pro Skater lineup. Instead of a focus on a narrative or quest, Session is all about having a fun time as a professional skateboarder.

The Blackout Club

  • Developer: Question
  • Publisher: Question
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2019

The Blackout Club is the next video game release under developers Question. Within the video game, players are encouraged to work together in a horror mystery surrounded by a strange occurrence. Teenagers from a small town have started to blackout and wake up randomly at a different location. With no memory of what happened during the blackout and failing to convince the adults of these random events, a group of teens must band together and solve the mystery.

This is a co-op style video game in which players can team up and carefully execute their plans to find out the reason for the blackouts and gather proof in order to share with police and parents. Currently, the video game is slated to launch at some point in 2019.

Rage 2
  • Developer: Avalanche Studios, id Software
  • Publishers: Bethesda Softworks
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Release: 2019

Rage is back with a brand new installment. Rage 2 will toss players into the role of Walker who is the last ranger. It’s your job to survive in this dangerous world after mutants flooded the world thanks to an otherworldly asteroid struck the surface. We also know that thirty years have passed since the events of the first Rage so you can expect to see a few familiar characters.

This is still a brutal FPS with an open world for players to explore, though information is still a bit scarce on the title. However, in past interviews about the game, Tim Willits, id Software a co-developer working on Rage 2, has stated that the developers are revamping the overall game with a better overall story, vehicles, characters and of course weapons.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see what information is slowly unveiled for this upcoming title but it already has us interested in checking the game out when it launches.
