Farming XP

You’ll find there is some emphasis on RPG elements and level up within Assassins’ Creed Origins. As such, you’ll want to farm some XP in order to progress a bit easier within the main campaign. One of the ways to do this is by completing quests.

More specifically, completing side quests will offer gamers a bit more XP. Though you can see just how much XP is given to you by checking in the menu after selecting a side quest. For a more detailed breakdown on side quests and farming XP, check out our guide here.

Loot

Another tip when starting out is to save your money. Don’t waste it by buying loot boxes or buying weapons and gear from vendors. You’ll end up coming across a ton of gear at the start which means you’re saving money for later within the game.

  • Note: Remember you can scan the area for loot in-game.

Inventory

With all that loot you’re going to find your inventory filling up so it’s best to keep tabs on managing the inventory when possible. For items you’re not going to be using then you’ll have the ability to sell it or even dismantle in order to gain some crafting materials.

Depending on if you’re looking to make some upgrades on gear, dismantling items will likely be your best bet in order to acquire the various materials required for the upgrade.

Explore

This is a big world to explore in the video game. You’re bound to come across something interesting whether it is locations or hidden tombs. Take the opportunity to freely roam around the world at your leisure.

Senu

Just like exploring, take the opportunity to scout the area with Senu. You’ll come across more locations this way along with the ability to mark targets during missions. Overall, Senu is a useful tool within the game that should be used often.

Mounts

We have a full guide on mounts which you can find right here, however, as a quick recap, mounts will be a great means for traversing the world quickly. There are a number of mounts to choose from and their ability to quickly maneuver players around the world is something to take note of.

While on missions, you may find a mount useful when you need to make a quick escape or if you’re needing to escort someone away from an area without having to do all the heavy lifting, essentially slowing down our protagonist.

Perks

Perks in a way goes along with XP farming as you’ll find that there are some perks worth going for at the start purely to gain more XP. Again, our XP farming guide goes into more detail on this matter, but if you’re just starting out and want to gain more experience quickly then it may be worth going with some perks that would offer additional experience points.

Opt For Night Attacks

If you need to attack a camp then try to aim for an attack during the night. This will allow more guards to be asleep and less of a challenge than going in during the day. However, with that said, killing more enemies will gather you additional XP.

Depending on your play style, you may find that night attack goes in-hand with stealth gameplay. Regardless, at the start, this approach will be your best opportunity in avoiding combat.
