Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scrolls Locations | Collectibles Guide

Splatoon 2 has just released into the market for the Nintendo Switch. The sequel to the highly popular Splatoon video game title has brought in much of the same action-packed gameplay fun that we’ve come to love and enjoy playing.

If you’re just starting out on Splatoon 2 then chances are you’re still hard at work trying to track down all the sunken scrolls. Take a look at our guide on where each scroll is located at and be sure to check back for any future scroll locations and updates.

Tentakeel Outpost

There are a total of four sunken scrolls located within the Tentakeel Outpost area.

Return of the Octarians
- Fire at the yellow balloon behind the Sardinium platform. You will find green arrows which will take you to a Sunken Scroll.
Welcome to Octopia
- The orange crate located under a walkway will contain a sunken scroll. You will be required to enter the squid form in order to pass through the grate and reach the orange crate.
Sunset Octocopter
- You will find a Sunken Scroll on the pillar next to the Launchpad. Use the Dash Track in order to climb the pillar.

Suction-Cup Lookout

There are a total of seven sunken scrolls located within the Sunction-Cup Lookout area.

First Level Sunken Scroll
- Fire at the green balloons floating around the area then follow the green arrows to locate the next sunken scroll.
Enter the Octohurler
- Destroy the Octohurlers and then hop on their platforms. The platform will take you below the stage to the next sunken scroll.
Octozeppelin Invasion
- Once you reach the Octorpedos look towards the left for a hidden Ride Rail. Use this Ride Rail to reach a platform above the Octorpedo launch tube. A crate within the platform will hold a sunken scroll.

Back-Alley Cleanup

There are a total of three sunken scrolls located within the Back-Alley Cleanup area.

First Level Sunken Scroll
- After you have dealt within the Industrial Squee-G and Octobomber, look towards the ledge and find a crate which holds a sunken scroll.
Spinning Campground
- Once you reach the horizontal Inkfulers, use the small platform on the left side to locate a crate that holds a sunken scroll.
Octoling Strike
- You’ll find the sunken scroll within a crate behind a Splash Wall.

Beaker’s Depot

There are a total of eight sunken scrolls located within the Breaker’s Depot area.

First Level Sunken Scroll
- Use the Rail Ride from the starting position which will take you near a blue balloon. Destroy it and follow the trail to find your next sunken scroll.
Octoseeker Shakedown
- At the first checkpoint, fire at the sponge located in front and climb it along with the next sponge. You’ll find a platform of other sponges, you’ll want to load on that and find a small platform with boxes and a Launchpad. The sunken scroll will be located within one of the boxes.
The Floating Garden
- Drop below the cargo net and defeat the Tentakook located on a hidden platform. After defeating the Tentakook players will receive a sunken scroll.

Octo-Restort Spring

There are a total of four sunken scrolls in the Octo-Restort Spring area.

First Level Sunken Scroll
- This sunken scroll can be found right before the second checkpoint. It will be located on a pillar but to reach the pillar you will need to make way to the flooder is located. Wait for it to pass and then ink the wooden wall to the lift in order to climb it and reach the pillar.
Dancing Floors
- Once you reach the area where you’ll find two sprinklers, look and spot a grapple point. Wait for the sprinklers to go away and use the grapple point to ascend to the platform. From there you must ink and climb the right tower in order to find a crate that will contain a sunken scroll.
Parking Garage
- After you reach the checkpoint, walk off the platform and swim towards a low barricade where you’ll come across the next sunken scroll.
Octoling Assault
- To start things off you’ll need a key which can be found at the start of this level. Just walk forward and drop down two platforms. Once you land, turn around and destroy the crate behind you to find a key. Once you find where the Octolings spawn, use inkfurlers to climb up to their spawn point and look towards a right to find a transparent box that holds the sunken scroll.

Slimeskin Garrison

There are a total of seven Slimeskin Garrsion

First Level Sunken Scroll
- Follow the green balloons and pop them as you go until you reach the sunken scroll.
Secret Bowling Alley
- Once you reach the cannon, look up to where the Octoballers are spawning. From there, you should notice a pillar where a box is resting on top. This is the location you have to head in order to claim the sunken scroll.
Octocommander Fortress
- After you cleared the final checkpoint, jump down to the rotating platform below you and smash the boxes to find a sunken scroll.
Towering Heights
- After you cleared the final checkpoint, fire at the sponges to uncover the hidden sunken scroll.
The Experimentorium
- To access the sunken scroll you must first hit all four of the grapple links within the area. This will give you access to the splat switch which ultimately triggers the sunken scroll to appear.
Propellerland
- Make your way onto the platform that holds the second vault. This platform will allow players to shoot the propeller in order to lift the platform enough to allow players access to a splat switch. Hit the splat switch which will activate a walkway that leads to the sunken scroll.
Octolings Ahoy!
- Head to the cannon after climbing the winding walkways. Smash the boxes you’ll see towards your left and then turn into a squid form to jump through the grating. Change back to your normal form afterwards and you’ll land on a platform with a box. Destroy the box to find the sunken scroll.

Cephalon HQ

Cephalon HQ has a total of seven sunken scrolls within the area.

First Level Sunken Scroll
- Jump to the yellow platform and fire at the light blue balloon and follow its pathway to find the next sunken scroll.
Underground Expressway
- Reach the end of this level until you notice Zapfish. From there, look to the right and spray ink downward until you uncover a small platform. Jump down to the platform to find the next sunken scroll.
The Octogalaxy
- Once you reach the checkpoint where you’ll see structures out in the distance, jump onto the Rail Jump and take that towards its end where you’ll find another Rail Jump. Jump onto the next rail which will take you to the structures platform that also holds a box containing the sunken scroll.
Transfer Junction
- At the second checkpoint, climb the tower and take out the Octarians. From there, look below and spray ink on a sponge in which you’ll jump onto in order to find the next sunken scroll.
Platform Madhouse
- Fire at the splat switch by Zapfish’s platform as this will activate a Launchpad that will take to you the platform with an Octostamp DX. Spray ink on it and use the Launchpad located on the back in order to reach the final platform where there will be a sunken scroll within a crate.
Paradise Lanes
- Once you reach a Launchpad that will be near Octoballers look towards a ledge to find an orange crate which will have a sunken scroll
Octoling Workout
- The last sunken scroll will be inside an invisible crate located by the central catwalk.
