If you’re looking for more levels to complete in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, then luckily for you, the developers have a few hidden course scattered about. In this guide, we’ll showcase how to access the two hidden levels that can be found within the first Crash Bandicoot video game.

Crash Bandicoot Whole Hog

Before you are able to unlock the Whole Hog secret level found within Crash Bandicoot, players must obtain hidden Neo Cortex face pick-ups followed by completing a course to unlock it fully. There is a total of three Neo Cortex pick-up pieces found within the Sunset Vista level.

First Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

The first Neo Cortex face pick-up piece is located on the third-floor. Once you are able to get on top of the ruin and have defeated the lizard, you’ll be able to enter the ruin. It’s within the ruin that you must destroy all the boxes in order to unlock the Cortex Face pick-up.

Second Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

After you have entered the ruin which we mentioned above, you can progress until you come across the moving walls. You’ll find the second Neo Cortex Face pick-up on top of the second moving wall.

Third Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

The third and last Neo Cortex Face pick-up can be found once you reach the Cortex teleporter. You’ll have to jump towards the extra life on the left-hand side of the teleporter. From there, you’ll want to progress towards the left and enter the next room which the Neo Cortex Face piece will be available for pick-up.

Level Location

Once you have successfully gathered all three Neo Cortex Face pick-ups, you’ll find the hidden secret level will be where you found the second Neo Cortex Face piece. Upon completing the course, players will receive the key for the level and will then become available to access from the island hub screen.

Fumbling in the Dark

Much like the first level we discussed above, the Fumbling in the Dark secret level also requires three Neo Cortex Face pieces to be unlocked. Find out where you can find all three of the Neo Cortex Face pieces from the Jaws of Darkness level.

First Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

After you have been on the moving platforms, you will have to keep an eye out for spike traps and fire as you’ll be required to jump through them. It’s only after you jumped through the traps that you’ll face a stack of crates with a TNT crate located on the very top. Simply smash the bottom crate in order to receive the first of three Neo Cortex Face pieces.

Second Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

Upon progressing through Jaws of Darkness, you’ll come across a snake and spears. Jump on top of the snake and progress further until you find some crates. The second Neo Cortex Face piece that is required for the Fumbling in the Dark level is found within the “?” crate.

Third Neo Cortex Face Pick-up

After picking up the second Neo Cortex Face piece, you won’t have to travel very far to receive the third and last required piece. From the second Neo Cortex Face Piece location, head left and you’ll find a platform that is hidden from view. This will also be a location with crates where the third and final Neo Cortex Face piece is hidden within one of the last crates.

Level Location

The hidden Fumbling in the Dark Secret level is found at the final checkpoint for Jaws of Darkness. Just as we mentioned in the first secret hidden level, after completing the course, you’ll receive the key to Fumbling in the Dark and can then access the level from the Island hub screen.
