Kah Okeo Shrine – Wind Guide

On the far southwestern edge of the Tabantha Tower region, look west of the Rayne Highlands hill, further west from the Ancient Columns, to stumble on this out-of-the-way shrine.

To access the underground cave where the shrine is located, find the large stone slate blocking the entrance — lift it up by attaching an Octorok Balloon to the heavy rock.

To get started, grab the treasure chest to gain a free Korok Leaf. Equip it and use the leaf on the windmill near the locked gate. In the next room, use the leaf on the second windmill to create a floating platform. Link can stand on the platform and steer it by using the Korok Leaf’s wind on the balloons.

  • Optional Chest: Steer the balloon platform to the back corner of the second room to get this chest.

Ride the balloon platform across the gap and follow the linear path to the locked gate that leads to the exit altar. Continue into the chamber with the Scout Guardian — shoot the explosive barrels with a fire arrow or use a bomb to destroy the cracked wall.

  • Optional Chest: Grab this chest in the large chamber with the launch blocks. Activate the windmills with Korok Leaves to launch Link and glide to the chest.

In the massive chamber beyond the Scout Guardian, use the Korok Leaf to activate launch blocks. When launched, use Link’s glider to the massive pillar. Bomb the interior of the column, then ride the updraft to the upper section of the shrine.

Use the windmill to summon another balloon platform, then carefully navigate the spike gauntlet. If the balloons touch the spikes, they’ll pop and you’ll have to retry.

  • Optional Chest: Before entering the spike gauntlet, float to the optional chest to the right of the windmill.

Continue up, using the next windmill launchpad, and you’ll get a good view of a giant pillar of weak blocks. Bombs can’t make it, but a floating explosive barrel can reach those blocks. Summon a balloon bomb from the interior chamber windmill, then blow the bombs over to the pillar. Push them close to the torches, or shoot the barrels with a fire arrow to detonate.

When the column explodes, ride the updraft to the chest containing the small key. Follow the ladder down to a platform and glide across to reach a ledge directly above the locked altar door.

  • Optional Chest: While gliding down to the altar door, land on the small chest platform in the left corner.

Glide to the locked door, open it with the small key, and access the altar to complete this lengthy shrine.
