Back at the beginning of June, the spiritual successor to P.T. game that was Allison Road was suddenly cancelled by the developers. According to a recent statement made to IGN, the game has made a comeback from the dead.
The game’s creator Christian Kesler told IGN that he would continue working on the game under his new independent label “Far From Home”, a business co-founded by him and his wife.

“I’m actually really happy to be able to announce that [Allison Road] will continue,” Kesler said. “We had a lot of support online and some folks out there are just incredibly nice.”
There was a tough falling out between Lilith Ltd. and Team17, and the specifics as to what happened there are probably lost to time. But what Kesler was able to go into detail about is what happened after that.
“It did take a bit of soul searching to find the drive again to work on Allison Road and to simply make a call on what to do next,” Kesler explained. “After the set back, I took a bit of a break from working on it and re-evaluated all the work that had been done so far — the whole journey, so to speak. I started making a few (in my opinion) necessary changes to the story and the flow, little bits and pieces here and there, and before I knew it, it sort of naturally came back to life.”
Kesler had a lot of the necessary skills needed to get back to work on the game by his own accord. Allison Road doesn’t have a set release date as of yet, but it’s good to see it came back.
