First 4 Figures Showcases Impressive Metal Sonic Figurine That’s Up For Pre-Order

January 8, 2025 by Todd Black

I’ll crush you…

It’s honestly a bit hilarious that the third film featuring Sonic The Hedgehog isn’t even out of theaters yet, and fans are already pumped for the fourth film. To be fair, this happened with the second film as well, when the “stinger” at the end revealed that Shadow The Hedgehog would be arriving. So, at least there’s precedent for it. There are two reasons that fans are really excited about the fourth film, and those reasons are Amy Rose and Metal Sonic. Both of them showed up in the film’s end credits tease, and many are asking questions about what the film will truly be like based on it.

Enter First 4 Figures, who clearly knew ahead of time what was happening, because they just dropped pre-orders for a figure featuring the metal robot version of Sonic, and in three different forms, no less! For those who are unfamiliar, First 4 Figures is a high-quality statue maker that creates incredible figures of popular characters. They had a figure for Shadow recently based on the “Doom powers” that Shadow got in a recent game, and they tend to do “different versions” of the same model, depending on how much you’re willing to pay.

In this case, the three versions will have the metal hedgehog destroying Tails’s plane the more you upgrade, alongside LED lights and interchangeable parts. If you’re fine with just the basic model, you can pre-order it for $425 right now. However, if you wait too long, the price goes up! The link above is for the basic model. The definitive version costs $525.

Now, let’s give a bit of a history into Metal Sonic and why his appearance in the next movie will be potentially one of the coolest things ever.

The robot is built by Dr. Eggman. Ivo, not Gerald. It was created to be a perfect copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, just, you know, metal. The irony here is that this one worked perfectly, unlike many of Eggman’s inventions! It was able to match Sonic’s speed more times than not and, through the power of the Chaos Emeralds, could adopt new forms.

Then, should it get a bit “out of control,” it’ll absorb certain other things and then become the monstrous behemoth known as “Metal Overlord.” That is likely going to be the main threat in the 4th movie, and that’s good because it’ll provide a more succinct threat versus the last two movies where the “antagonists became allies.”
