There’s been no shortage of news revolving around Until Dawn. The video game developed by Supermassive Games for the PlayStation 4 has gained quite a bit of attention over the years. It’s been a hit, and fans are still just uncovering this gameplay experience. But now that we have moved on to a new generation of console platforms, it might be time to revisit this game and offer a few enhancements. That’s the rumor right now, as we could see a remastered edition revealed as early as tomorrow. Now, a new clue has popped up that suggests what studio was responsible for delivering a new remastered edition for Sony.
Thanks to a report from VGC, we’re finding out that a former employee for Virtuos has mentioned their work within the studio. This comes from a LinkedIn profile from a former employee working within the animation department. According to the reports online, this individual noted that they were working on the game Until Dawn, which, again this title is several years old now. So, it’s giving more credence to the rumors stating that another edition is coming. If the rumor proves true, it will be released for the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.
The rumors also suggested that the announcement would be coming soon, and since then, a Sony PlayStation State of Play has been confirmed. That stream event is set to take place tomorrow, and several games will be highlighted to be coming out from this year and beyond. So plenty of fans are looking at this streaming event to confirm Until Dawn will have a new edition, which will be coming to the marketplace for PlayStation 5 and PC.
We’ll have to wait until the State of Play event tomorrow to see just how true that ends up being. But this is not the only shred of news to get fans excited if they enjoyed Until Dawn. It’s since been revealed that a Until Dawn movie adaptation is going into production. But we know next to nothing right now about that film. Just how it will adapt the source material remains to be seen, along with who might be taking on the role of some of the cast characters. If you recall, the game did use several actors, such as Rami Malek, Hayden Panettiere, and Meaghan Martin, among others. So it would be interesting to see if any are asked to return and deliver a live-action performance after already being attached to the game.
