Shadow Siege Event Explained In Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0
Shadow Siege is a Limited Time Event that coincides with the Reveal Event for Modern Warfare 3, sharing the name of the game mode found in Warzone 2.0. You can find Gameranx’s full walkthrough of the Reveal Event here. Along with being used to showcase the upcoming Call of Duty title, there are also 6 additional challenges that come with their own rewards. These challenges range from just being part of the Shadow Siege mode to extra challenges that players will need to go out of their way to complete.
Below are all of the challenges of the Shadow Siege Event and how to complete them:
- Secure a missile launcher: The first step of the Shadow Siege Event is to travel to one of eight missile launchers and take control of them. Players will be able to secure these sites by dropping on the missile icon marked on the map and interacting with a terminal connected to a cargo missile similar to the ones seen in Modern Warfare 2‘s campaign. Once interacted with, the site will need to be defended for some time as Konni forces will begin to arrive in the area. Once the bar at the top of the screen is filled, the site is considered secure. REWARD: Heavy Chopper Vehicle Skin – Serpent Slayer
- Blow up the Observatory: Impossible to miss. Once all 8 missile sites are secured, they will launch toward Zaya Observatory and destroy the facility. REWARD: Emblem – Konni Group
- Exfil with a Mission Success: Once the players secure 45 Gas Canisters, they will be ordered to head to one of the Exfil Helicopters to leave Al Mazrah. If the player is on the helicopter when it leaves, they will be given a “Mission Accomplished” notification and will complete this challenge. REWARD: Calling Card – Crimson Sound
- Deliver 5 Gas Canisters as a squad in a single deployment: The second part of the Shadow Siege Event is to extract 45 Gas Canisters. If your squad is able to secure 5 of these Canisters in a single deployment, you will all complete this challenge. REWARD: Weapon Charm – Gas Canister
- Intercept 5 radio transmissions: Enemies killed during the Shadow Siege Event have a chance to drop Burner Phones. These items look similar to the UAV drops seen in DMZ. Picking one of these ups will “intercept a radio transmission.” Do this 5 times to complete this challenge. REWARD: Battle Pass Token Tier Skip
- Assist in killing 5 Commanders: Throughout the facility beneath Zaya Observatory and the surrounding area are several Commander enemies. These include Attack Helicopters, Juggernauts, and Wheelsons. If you do damage to one of these enemies and then it dies, that will count towards this challenge. Do this 5 times to get the reward. REWARD: New Assault Rifle – M13C
The Shadow Siege Event will be active from August 17 to August 21, allowing players to replay the Limited Time Event as many times as they want. All of these rewards will be unlocked upon the completion of the associated challenge and will be available in Modern Warfare 3 via the Carry Forward System which will allow many items, weapons, and cosmetics to be usable in both Modern Warfare 2 and 3.
