Sker Ritual, the latest game from Wales Interactive and the sequel to Maid of Sker has just dropped their reveal trailer. Players can now get a closer look at the sort of combat and monsters the developer has in store when the game eventually launches sometime this year.
While Maid of Sker was a solo adventure through a hotel infested with strange creatures, Sker Ritual takes the horrific setting of its predecessor into a co-op four-person shooter.
Players will take the fight to “The Quiet Ones”, monstrous humanoids that react to sound and want nothing more than to tear you apart. Ancient ruins filled with cultists, skulking monsters in backwater villages, nowhere seems to be safe from the conspiracy surrounding these monsters.
The co-op survival FPS and spiritual successor to the award-winning occult horror, Maid of Sker. Play solo or up to 4 players to survive the supernatural onslaught of the Quiet Ones.

Sker Ritual continues the story told in its predecessor and remains steeped in British folklore. The Sker House is a real place, and The Maid of Sker was a book over a hundred years before Wales Interactive brought it to life as a video game.
However it seems The Quiet Ones aren’t content to remain in the Sker House, in the trailer we get a first look at a variety of maps including cornfields, ancient tombs, and desecrated churches.
It seems emphasis is heavier on action than the frights in Sker Ritual, players are sent off guns ablaze in their fight against the darkness. Wales Interactive has clarified that players can choose to tackle the adventure of Sker Ritual alone, but “it’s most enjoyed playing with up to a 4-strong team, whether they be friends or future-friends from online matchmaking”.
Sker Ritual is currently slated for a Summer 2022 release on Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X/S.
