The Polish mobile gaming developer Ten Square Games, have today acquired a prominent stake in fellow mobile games developer Gamesture for around about $3.5 million. The stake being purchased is 25%, and the hope for this deal is that it flowers into something very prosperous for both companies.
Gamesture was only founded in 2014 and specializes in RPG games for mobiles, with titles like Questland and Slash & Roll being some of their bigger names – the ones you may or may not have heard of. Operating from their studios in Krakow and Poznan, Gamesture is a relatively small company that only has about 70 staff members working for them, so this added investment by the much bigger Ten Square Games could be just what they need.
In what has also become part of the deal, Gamesture CEO and Ten Square Games director, Tomasz Drożdżyński has decided to step down from his role on the advisory board of the latter, but still very much staying on the board of Gamesture.
In a recent interview, Ten Square Games CEO Maciej Zużałek said, “For the last few years we have been following the promising development of Gamesture very closely, observing its market successes and their effective implementation of a strategy for growth.” Zużałek went on to say, “By investing in a company that specializes in the RPG genre, we are expanding our company’s portfolio, this will enable us to reach new areas of gamers. We believe in the synergy potential between our companies, mainly in the areas of product strategy, marketing, and technology.”
Drożdżyński also chimed in on the subject by adding, “Our companies share a very similar work philosophy and are driven by the same values, with us both having a great appetite to develop as far as we can. We are extremely happy with the transaction because it combines the potential of both companies and are our ambitions can be achieved together.”
So, a positive deal for both parties it seems and this could easily lead to a very successful and long partnership. Let’s see what titles will begin to appear in the future.
